The General Staff confirmed strikes on an oil refinery in Perm and a military training ground in occupied Zaporizhzhia

On July 29 and during the night of July 30, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against key targets in Russia and in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. The General Staff reported that the attacks were aimed at weakening the aggressor country’s military and economic capabilities.

According to the report, on July 29, Ukrainian forces struck the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Perm Krai of the Russian Federation. A direct hit on the facility was confirmed, followed by a fire on its grounds.

This facility is one of the largest of its kind in the aggressor country. It has the capacity to process approximately 13 million metric tons of crude oil per year.

"Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez" produces automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, bitumen, lubricants, and other petroleum products, which, among other things, meet the needs of Russia’s military-industrial complex and armed forces.

The Defense Forces also struck the “Primorsky Posad” training ground in the Zaporizhzhia region, which is currently under Russian occupation. The extent of the damage is still being assessed.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

As a reminder, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously reported strikes on a Russian export terminal and military facilities.

On the night of July 25, long-range drones operated by the Security Service of Ukraine attacked Russian military facilities in Rostov-on-Don and in the Caspian Sea.

A Russian port on the Black Sea has halted oil loading operations.

Prior to this, Russia had reported a drone attack on the night of July 25. In the city of Engels in the Saratov region, following reports of a drone threat, a fire broke out, likely near a military facility. Russian authorities have not officially reported on the cause of the fire or the possible consequences of the attack.
