The General Staff confirmed that the Omsk Oil Refinery, located 2,500 km from Ukraine, had been hit – video

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed that the Omsk Oil Refinery, located nearly 2,500 kilometers from the national border, has been struck. A direct hit followed by a fire was recorded on the refinery’s premises.

According to preliminary information, the ELOU-AVT-11 primary oil refining unit, which has a design capacity of 8.4 million metric tons of oil per year, was damaged.

The Omsk Oil Refinery was the last of the 11 largest gasoline producers in the Russian Federation to be struck by Ukrainian defenders. This facility is the most powerful in the aggressor country, with a total refining capacity of over 21 million metric tons per year and one of the highest crude oil refining depths in Russia, at approximately 99%. The plant is involved in supplying the Russian army’s invading forces.

The facility specializes in producing a wide range of fuels, lubricants, and petrochemical products. In particular, it produces high-octane automotive gasoline grades AI-92, AI-95, and G-Drive 100; Euro-5-compliant diesel fuel; and TS-1 and RT aviation kerosene. The plant also produces benzene, paraxylene, orthoxylene, raw materials for technical carbon, and motor and industrial oils.

This was reported by the General Staff on Facebook.

As a reminder, OSINT analysts are documenting an expansion of Ukrainian strikes deep into Russian territory.

The SBU has carried out strikes on oil refineries and military facilities in Russia and Crimea.
