The General Staff reported 203 clashes along the front line over the past 24 hours and identified the hottest sector

On August 25, 203 combat engagements were recorded along the front line, with Russian troops carrying out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. According to the General Staff, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 assaults there, while the enemy carried out another 19 attacks in the Kostiantynivka sector.

 

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 81 airstrikes, during which it dropped 270 guided bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 10,498 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,122 shelling attacks on populated areas and our troops’ positions.

In the Sumy region, the settlements of Korenok, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Romashkove, Iskryskivshchyna, and Ryzhivka came under enemy artillery fire. Additionally, the area around the settlement of Tovstodubove was hit by an airstrike.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck three areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, five unmanned aerial vehicle command posts, and two command and observation posts.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors over the past day, our defenders repelled two enemy assaults. At the same time, the aggressor carried out three airstrikes using 12 guided bombs and fired 77 rounds at the positions of our troops and populated areas, including seven rounds using multiple-launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled eight enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance in the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, and Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked twice in the areas of Kurylivka and Kivsharivka. In the Lyman sector, the occupiers attacked seven times in the Lyman area, as well as toward Shyikivka and Novoselivka. In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out four assaults in the areas of Dibrova and Kryva Luka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers launched three attacks toward the village of Yurkivka. In the Kostiantynivka sector, 24 attacks were recorded. The invaders carried out assaults in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Dovha Balka, Rusyn Yar, and Ivanopillia.

The highest number of assaults was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, where our defenders repelled 36 attacks. The enemy was active in the areas of Bilytske, Serhiivka, and Molodetske, and also carried out assaults in the directions of Svitle, Novyi Donbas, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Myrne, Vasylivka, Udachne, Bilyakivka, Muravka, Novopavlivka, Hruzke, and Chernihivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the invaders carried out four attacks in the directions of the settlements of Ternove, Oleksandrohrad, and Krasnogorsk. In the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers attacked three times. The enemy attempted to advance toward Verkhnia Tersa, Bilohirya, and Chervona Krynytsia. In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders repelled one enemy attempt to advance toward Pavlivka.

In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations over the past day. In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

Earlier, the General Staff released figures on enemy losses as of August 26, 2026.

As a reminder, 30,000 customers in the Chernihiv region and in Slavutych were left without power following an attack by the Russian Federation.

As a reminder, on August 23, Russian forces attacked a railway station in the Kharkiv region with a drone while a passenger train evacuating people was stopped. Two women were killed in the strike, and five others were injured.

On August 23, Russian terrorist forces attacked Ukraine’s railway infrastructure five times. One person was killed and four others were injured as a result of the strikes.

On August 23, Russian forces attacked the locomotive of passenger train No. 147, traveling from Zhytomyr to Odesa, with a rocket-propelled drone. The train was stopped and passengers evacuated in time before the strike, so neither passengers nor railway workers were harmed.
