The General Staff reported 238 combat engagements on the front lines over the past day
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 238 assaults, with the highest number of attacks recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka sectors. At the same time, 16 assaults took place in the Huliaipil sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning report on August 21.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors over the past day, our defenders repelled three enemy assaults. Meanwhile, the aggressor carried out three airstrikes, dropping six aerial bombs, and fired 53 times at the positions of our troops and populated areas, including two attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian units repelled eight enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance toward the settlements of Lyman, Izbytske, Okhrimivka, and the Starytsia area.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched 15 offensive operations toward Radkivka and Hlushkivka.
Attempts to breach our defenses were repelled in the Lyman sector, where the occupiers attacked six times toward the settlements of Lyman, Novosergiivka, Drobysheve, and in the Novoselivka area.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy carried out 15 assaults toward the settlements of Ozerne, Orykhuvatka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, and in the areas of Kryva Luka and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian invaders carried out two offensive operations in the vicinity of Nikiforivka and Minkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 26 attacks were recorded. The invaders carried out assaults in the areas around the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Novoselivka, and toward Stepanivka, Dovha Balka, and Vilne.
The enemy carried out 32 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of the settlements of Dorozhne, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, and Kotlyne, as well as toward the settlements of Novyi Donbas, Bilyakivka, Bilytske, Hannivka, Svitle, Shevchenko, Myrne, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the invaders carried out three attacks toward Novyi Zaporizhzhia and in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhzhia and Rybne.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked the positions of our defenders 16 times. The enemy attempted to advance toward the settlements of Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Vozdvyzhivka, Rivne, Dolynka, and in the Bilohirya area.
In the Orikhiv sector, our defenders repelled three enemy attempts to advance in the Plavni area and toward Malaya Tokmachka and Novoandriivka.
In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations.
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the occupiers forming offensive groups were detected.

On the evening of August 20 and overnight on August 21, Russian troops attacked the Nikopol, Synelnykiv, and Pavlohrad districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with drones. Local authorities reported on the consequences of the strikes.
On the night of August 21, Russian forces attacked the village of Lebyazhe in the Chuhuiv district with six strike drones. Two women were killed in the attack, two others were wounded, and private homes were damaged or destroyed.
On the night of August 21, Russia launched a massive drone strike on the Sumy region, targeting Sumy and Konotop. The shelling damaged residential buildings, and at least two people were injured.
