As of August 4, 2026, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated figures on Russian troop losses. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have eliminated 1,240 invaders.
As of August 4, Russia has lost the following in the war against Ukraine:
- personnel—approximately 1,451,750 (+1,240) individuals;
- tanks – 12,237 (+5);
- armored combat vehicles – 25,079 (+4);
- artillery systems – 47,331 (+55);
- multiple-launch rocket systems – 2,000 (+4);
- air defense systems – 1,538 (+5);
- aircraft – 439 (+0);
- helicopters – 354 (+0);
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,124 (+12) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 442,740 (+1,792) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,007 (+0) units;
- ships/boats – 34 (+0);
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 129,817 (+379) units;
- special equipment – 4,492 (+0) units
