Hacker leaks database of 46.2M MAX messenger users on DarkForums

A hacker known as Titusko25357 has leaked what he claims to be the entire MAX.ru messenger database — over 46.2 million user records — on the dark web marketplace DarkForums. The dump includes names, surnames, phone numbers, and other personal information, all in Russian.

According to the post, the hacker still maintains VPN access to internal tools, including Salesforce and administrative dashboards. Screenshots show sample data with real user details, indicating a large-scale compromise of the platform.

MAX messenger has long been described as a Russian government–linked communication app, making this one of the most significant data breaches in recent Russian cyber history. Online commentators joked that “MAX’s database is now not only with the FSB.”
