The number of people injured in Pechenigi has risen to 20

In Pechenigi, Kharkiv Oblast, the number of casualties from the double Russian strike has risen to 20. Ten people were killed. 

The final death toll and number of injured are still being determined.

“As of now, we know of ten people killed and twenty wounded, but these figures are not yet final, Gusarov wrote.

The strikes were recorded in the central part of the village, near a café and a bus station. According to preliminary data, Russian troops fired two “Banderole” missiles.

As a result of the attack, more than 10 homes were damaged, as well as cafes, stores, service establishments, and restaurants.

In the first few hours after the strike, eight casualties were reported, but the number of wounded subsequently began to rise.

Due to the extensive damage caused by the Russian attack, the Pechenizh community declared August 18 and 19, 2026, as days of mourning for the victims.

Emergency services, medical personnel, and rescue workers are on the scene. The injured are receiving the necessary assistance.

Authorities emphasize that the data on the attack’s consequences may change as rescue operations are completed and the final death toll is determined.

Russian forces launched a missile strike on the village of Pechenigi in the Kharkiv region. The attack killed 10 people and injured eight others. Civilian infrastructure was also damaged.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the Russian missile strike on a busy intersection in Pechenigi, Kharkiv Oblast. Ten people were killed in the attack. The head of state showed the aftermath of the shelling and stated that Ukraine will certainly respond to the Russian strike.
