The death toll in Pidserednye has risen: a woman’s body was recovered from the rubble
The number of casualties from the nighttime Russian drone attack on the village of Pidserednye has increased to two.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine discovered the body of an elderly woman under the debris of a destroyed house during emergency operations.
The night strike by a Russian Geran-2 drone completely destroyed a private home on Tsentralna Street.
Initially, the death of a 67-year-old man was reported, whose body was recovered first, along with an injured woman of a similar age. Later, during the clearing of rubble, rescuers found another victim — an 84-year-old woman who lived in the house.
“In total, two people have died and one person was injured,” the Kharkiv regional SES officially confirmed.
Emergency and rescue operations at the site have now officially concluded, and the fire caused by the explosion has been extinguished. The injured woman was hospitalized and is receiving the necessary medical care.
Earlier, Russian drones attacked the centre of Novhorod-Siverskyi, injuring three people. Occupying forces also struck residential areas in Vinnytsia region, damaging dozens of homes.
