The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill has come under fire for the third time in half a year

On Wednesday, October 7, the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill was hit by a missile strike for the third time in the last six months. The explosions triggered fires on the plant’s grounds, and production had to be completely suspended. The plant’s production and warehouse facilities sustained serious damage.

As a result of the shelling, the plant’s production and storage facilities sustained serious damage, and equipment and utility systems were damaged. Massive fires broke out at the facility due to the powerful explosions—units of the State Emergency Service are still working to extinguish them.

Despite significant material losses, there were no casualties or injuries among the employees.

“Production has currently been halted. Despite the significant material damage, the most important thing for us is that none of our employees, who followed safety protocols, were harmed,” the company emphasized.

The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is one of the largest enterprises in the pulp and paper industry in Eastern Europe, manufacturing cardboard, corrugated packaging, and sanitary and hygiene products.

This was reported with reference to the company’s press service.
