Fire Point confirmed that a Flamingo missile struck a facility in Volgograd
On the night of September 10–11, Ukrainian FP-5 “Flamingo” missiles struck the “Volgogradpromproekt” facility in Volgograd, Russia. A fire broke out on the facility’s grounds following the strike.
According to the company, on the night of September 11, the Defense Forces attacked “Volgogradpromproekt” with FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles.
Fire Point reported that the missiles hit their target, after which a fire broke out on the company’s premises.
No further details regarding the extent of the damage or the consequences of the strike have been reported at this time.
Volgogradpromproekt LLC is subject to U.S. sanctions due to its activities in support of the Russian military-industrial complex.
In particular, the company manufactures:
- ferrocene-containing combustion catalysts;
- technologies for the production of chemicals.
Fire Point also stated that, in their assessment, Ukrainian sanctions have proven to be the most effective.
