Massive Russian attack on Odesa: more than 50 drones, 23 injured
On the night of 27 January, Russia carried out a large-scale attack on Odesa and surrounding areas, using more than 50 attack drones. As a result of the strikes, 23 people were injured, nine of whom were hospitalised. Among the injured were two girls born in 2013 and 2008, as well as a woman who is 39 weeks pregnant. One person is in serious condition, while eight others are in moderate condition.
This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration and the Odesa regional police.
The press service of the city’s military administration уточнила: “Fourteen people were diagnosed with an acute stress reaction and did not require hospitalisation.”





According to the Regional Military Administration, dozens of residential buildings, a church, a kindergarten, a lyceum, a fitness centre and private vehicles were damaged during the attack. In multi-storey buildings, dozens of flats were destroyed or damaged, facades were damaged and windows were blown out.





“All those affected are receiving medical assistance. Rescue teams and emergency services are working at the strike sites, and efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing. Law enforcement agencies are documenting Russia’s war crimes against the civilian population,” the administration said.
During the same night, Russian forces carried out another aerial attack on Ukraine, using several types of attack drones, including jet-powered Shaheds and Italmаs UAVs. Ukraine’s air defence forces destroyed the majority of enemy targets moving through the country’s airspace.
