Massive drone attack on Odesa: 85,000 without heat, over 64,000 without electricity
As a result of a massive Russian drone strike on Odesa, approximately 85,000 residents are without heating, and over 64,000 households are without electricity. Emergency repair work is ongoing at an intensified pace.
This was reported on Telegram by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister of Community and Territorial Development.
He noted: about 85,000 households in Odesa are without heat. Repair work is being conducted as quickly as possible to restore stable service. Overnight, 74,500 households across Odesa region lost electricity. The hardest-hit area is Odesa city, with around 65,000 households affected. Nearly 9,000 residents in Artsyz remain without power due to previous strikes.
City authorities are delivering technical water to areas with supply interruptions. Points of Invincibility operate 24/7, providing heat, electricity, and device charging. All regional services are engaged in the aftermath response. Critical infrastructure is operating on backup power via generators.
Rail infrastructure was also affected. Overnight strikes targeted the Odesa–Skhidna station, damaging the electrical centralization post and the station building. One railway employee was injured and is under medical supervision.
Additionally, Russian forces struck Zaporizhzhia, injuring four people and damaging a residential building. Fires broke out at the site, and several private houses and garages were affected.
Earlier attacks included strikes on rescuers in Druzhkivka, as well as drone and artillery attacks in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
