Belarus' Foreign Ministry Threatens Ukraine with Retaliation for Border Violation

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has officially stated that it is prepared to use all available resources in the event of any attempt to cross the state border between Ukraine and Belarus without the proper authorization.

The statement was made by Igor Sekret, deputy head of the foreign ministry, in an interview with Russian media.

The official emphasized that the Belarusian government views any actions aimed at violating territorial integrity as a direct threat.

According to him, the Ukrainian side is reportedly aware of the seriousness of the Belarusian leadership’s intentions regarding the protection of its own borders.

“If the border is, so to speak, crossed without permission or in an aggressive manner, we will respond using all our potential and all our capabilities. And our Ukrainian neighbors know this,” Sekret stated during a conversation with journalists.

The representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry also emphasized the existence of certain “red lines,” which, he claimed, had previously been outlined by the country’s top leadership.

According to Minsk, these lines are directly linked to the inviolability of the borders of the “union state” of Russia and Belarus.

In his remarks, he attempted to intimidate the international community, asserting that Western partners are aware of the consequences of a possible attack on the territory of their military-political union.

He insists that any aggressive move will be met with an immediate response from Belarusian security forces.

“The red lines have been clearly defined by our president; this is our border,” Sekret emphasized.
