Over the past 24 hours, on September 29, there were 221 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders on the front lines. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Kostiantynivka sector.
According to the General Staff, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops carried out one missile strike and 76 airstrikes, using 263 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, the occupiers deployed 8,835 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,775 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, 37 of which were conducted using multiple-launch rocket systems.
The following areas came under Russian attack: Bezsalivka, Korenok, Tovstodubove, Potapivka, Sopych, Fotovizh, Bachivsk, Neskuchne, Ulanove, Rivne, Volfyne, Malushyne, Zarichne, Vovkivka, Starykove, and Bunyachyne in Sumy Oblast, as well as Klyusi and Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast.
Pustogorod was hit by an airstrike.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ air force, missile forces, and artillery struck two UAV command posts, an area where Russian troops were concentrated, a logistics facility, and a command post of the Russian forces.
Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk Directions
One assault operation by Russian forces was recorded in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors.
The occupiers carried out one airstrike using four KAB bombs and launched 55 artillery attacks, four of which were from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Southern Slobozhansky Direction
In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, Ukrainian units repelled 10 attacks by Russian forces.
The enemy attempted to advance in the areas of Starytsia, Okhrimivka, Mala Vovcha, Vilkhuvatka, Vilcha, Khrypuniv, and Chuhunivka.
Kupiansk Sector
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops made one attempt to improve their positions by conducting assault operations toward Putnykove.
Lymansk Direction
In the Lyman sector, the occupiers unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions nine times.
The assaults were directed toward Shyikivka, Novoselivka, Zarichne, Drobyshove, Dibrova, and Novyi Mir.
Sloviansk sector
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian troops carried out six assaults in the areas of Ozerny, Piskunivka, Mykolaivka, and Yampil.
Kramatorsk sector
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces did not carry out any assaults.
Kostiantynivka Sector
The most intense fighting over the past 24 hours took place on the Kostiantynivka sector.
Here, the General Staff recorded 28 attacks by Russian forces. The invaders attempted to launch assaults in the Kostiantynivka area, as well as in the direction of Oleksiyevo-Druzhkivka, Novoselivka, Torske, Rozkishne, Stepanivka, Toretsk, Vilne, and Kucherove Yar.
Pokrovsk Sector
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops carried out 17 attacks.
The occupiers attempted to advance toward Bilytske, Svitle, Krasnopodillia, Novohryshyne, Kucheriv Yar, Serhiivka, and Molodetske.
Oleksandrivka Sector
On the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy launched two attacks toward Sichneve and Berezove.
Hulyaypil Sector
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian troops launched one attack, attempting to advance toward Rizdvyanka.
Orihiv Sector
In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted to improve their positions four times.
The attacks took place in the direction of Zarichne, Pavlivka, and Primorske.
Dnipro Sector
In the Dnipro sector, Russian troops did not carry out any assaults.
Volyn and Polissya Sectors
In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, Ukrainian forces detected no signs of the Russian Federation’s army forming offensive groups.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in residential buildings; two people were rescued.
As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.
Following Russia’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, an educational institution was hit.
