127 clashes recorded on the Front; most intense fighting near Pokrovsk and Lyman
As of 04:00 p.m. on 10 December, the total number of combat clashes on the front reached 127. The fiercest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupation forces attempted 35 times to push back Ukrainian troops, including in the areas of Nikanorivka, Razine, Novoeconomichne and others. The Defence Forces repelled 32 attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army launched 22 attacks on Ukrainian positions, including in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Novoselivka, Zarichne and Torske.
The situation in other directions also remains tense:
- In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through the defence 17 times.
- In the Huliaipole direction, 14 clashes took place (near Solodke and towards Zelene and Huliaipole).
- In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 assault actions (near Stepove and towards Verbove and Vyshneve).
- In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy tried eight times to push Ukrainian units back (towards Petropavlivka and Kurylivka).
- In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy made seven unsuccessful attempts to break through.
- In the Southern–Slobozhanske direction, the Defence Forces repelled six enemy attacks.
- In the Northern–Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, six combat clashes took place. The enemy carried out 34 shelling attacks.
- In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces tried twice to advance. No clashes were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.
The previous night, the Droid ground combat system equipped with a 12.7 mm Browning machine gun successfully repelled a night assault by Russian troops on the positions of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade.

Units of the Defence Forces also carried out an organised withdrawal from certain positions near the villages of Lysivka and Sukhyi Yar, close to Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region.
