Denis Fando, director of the Kirovohrad Invasport, was killed on the front lines
On September 12, it was reported that Denys Fando, director of the “Invasport” municipal institution, had been killed on the front lines. He died while defending Ukraine.
Denys Fando headed the “Invasport” Rehabilitation Sports School for Children and Youth with Disabilities in Kropyvnytskyi. He was involved in the development of adaptive sports and in supporting children and youth with disabilities.
After the full-scale war began, Fando stepped up to defend Ukraine. In September 2024, the local publication “Ukraine-Center” reported that after receiving his draft notice, Denys Fando enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the training center, he underwent training as a sapper.
Fando told the media that he carried out missions in the Kursk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Sumy regions.
Further details regarding the time and location of the soldier’s funeral will be announced later.
