In the Kyiv region, a poultry facility at the Sadiba Nyushanik center burned down during a nighttime attack by the Russian Federation

As a result of a massive nighttime attack on the Kyiv region, the bird hospital at the well-known “Sadiba Nyushanik” wildlife rehabilitation center was completely destroyed by fire. Birds and a cat that were inside the building were killed when it was hit.

According to Iryna Snopko, the strike completely destroyed the bird hospital, the chicken coop, and the quail house. The fire also destroyed all the equipment and feed supplies needed for the care and rehabilitation of the animals.

“We were hit. The bird hospital, the chicken coop, and the quail house burned down. There were birds and a cat inside. And all the equipment and feed, too,” Snopko said.

According to the center’s co-founder, the birds and the cat that were inside the destroyed building at the time of the fire perished.

“Nyushanik Farm” is one of the region’s well-known centers for rescuing and rehabilitating wild birds, particularly birds of prey and waterfowl.

The center has helped storks, swans, owls, hawks, and kestrels. Birds that suffered severe injuries and, due to their health condition, could no longer return to the wild remained at the farm as permanent residents.

Specialists at the center also once rescued a rare, Red Book-listed white-tailed eagle.

Another well-known resident of “Nyushanik Farm” was the stork chick Katrusya, whom her father, Hrytsyk, had thrown out of the nest. The bird’s story attracted public attention, and the center’s specialists helped her survive.

Following a nighttime attack, the center lost its inpatient facility, equipment, and feed, which were used to rescue and care for injured wild animals.

This was reported by the center’s co-founder, Iryna Snopko.

As a reminder, the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Film Studio in Kyiv has once again sustained damage as a result of Russian shelling. Following a massive missile attack, debris from a Russian missile fell onto the studio’s grounds and damaged the film studios.

In Svitlovodsk, Kirovohrad Oblast, part of the city was left without power following a nighttime Russian attack. Emergency services and utility companies are currently working to restore electricity.

In the Kirovohrad region, a high school and a cultural center were damaged by the Russian attack. Seventeen windows were shattered at the science high school, and three more were damaged at the cultural center. As a result, about 100 students will temporarily switch to remote learning starting tomorrow.

As a reminder, Russia destroyed a five-story building with people inside in Pryluky with a missile.

At least two people were killed in Kyiv as a result of a nighttime attack.

Russia struck Zaporizhzhia’s transportation infrastructure.
