Elevated levels of ammonia in the air were recorded in the Kyiv region following a Russian strike

In the Brovary District of the Kyiv Region, a warehouse was damaged and a fire broke out following a Russian attack.

During radiation and chemical reconnaissance, specialists detected a slight local increase in ammonia concentration in the fire zone. However, no such increase was recorded in Brovary itself.

According to the Kyiv Regional State Administration, there is currently no threat to the public’s life or health. At these concentrations, prolonged inhalation may cause mild irritation of the nasal mucous membranes and a scratchy throat.

Residents are advised to close windows and doors, avoid spending extended periods outdoors, turn off air conditioners, and, if possible, run air purifiers at maximum capacity.

The fire has been contained, and State Emergency Service rescuers are continuing their work at the scene. If you feel unwell, you are advised to seek medical attention.
