In the Kyiv region, a high school principal, her husband, and her three-year-old grandson were killed in an attack by the Russian Federation
On the night of August 8, Russian drones struck the village of Pukhivka in the Brovary District of Kyiv Oblast.
The attack killed Galina Kucher, the principal of Kyiv Lyceum No. 124 “Spasky,” her husband, and her three-year-old grandson.
According to preliminary reports, five enemy drones struck the two-story house where the family lived.
The parents of the deceased boy suffered shrapnel wounds and burns. Halyna Kucher’s 15-year-old grandson was also hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Another victim was a 21-year-old neighbor who rushed to help the family after the strike.

As a reminder, Russian drones attacked the Chernihiv region, damaging a gas station and a resort.
Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv on the afternoon of July 24, although such attacks usually occur at night. An expert believes this may have been an attempt to wear down Ukraine’s air defense, a show of force, or the result of a technical delay in the missile launch.
