A volunteer from Latvia was killed in the war for Ukraine
A 43-year-old Latvian volunteer named Vitaliy Šampinsh, whose call sign was “Wolf,” was killed on the Kharkiv front.
The news of his death was confirmed by Andriy Pildegovich, the Latvian ambassador to Ukraine. According to him, the volunteer was killed on August 18.
Šampins became the fifth volunteer from Latvia to die in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.
