The Netherlands will help Ukraine maintain its F-16 fighter jets
The Netherlands has agreed to assist Ukraine with the maintenance of its F-16s. The decision was made following a conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had previously reported that some Ukrainian fighter jets had been undergoing repairs in Europe for an extended period.
The Netherlands will assist Ukraine with the maintenance of F-16 fighter jets, as well as with necessary spare parts and ammunition. This was announced by Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten on social media platform X.
Jetten discussed the condition of the Ukrainian fighter jets during a conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. According to the Dutch prime minister, the parties agreed that the Ukrainian F-16s require proper maintenance, spare parts, and ammunition.
Jetten assured that the Netherlands will help Ukraine meet these needs. “Further strengthening Ukraine’s air defense is literally a matter of life and death,” the Dutch prime minister emphasized.
Jetten also drew attention to the intensification of Russian attacks against Ukraine. According to him, this became evident again last weekend, particularly during the strikes on Kyiv.
The Dutch prime minister is convinced that Russia is deliberately targeting civilian facilities and energy infrastructure. He said that in this way, Moscow is trying to render Ukrainian cities uninhabitable and destroy the country’s economy this winter. “We cannot allow this to happen,” Jetten wrote.
He added that the Netherlands, together with its partners, is also closely monitoring Russia’s provocations against other countries.
As a reminder, Ukrainian pilots will begin training on modern French fighter jets.
The French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation conducted flight tests of two artificial intelligence algorithms on the Rafale fighter jet. These technologies could eventually be used to improve the aircraft’s onboard systems.
It was previously reported that the French Rafale fighter jet will be equipped with combat artificial intelligence from Harmattan AI. This AI will also be used on Ukrainian Raybird drones manufactured by Skyeton, ensuring system compatibility and increasing operational efficiency.
