Occupiers step up activity in the Serebrianskyi Forest in Luhansk region: Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy enemy logistics
Since the beginning of the year, Russian troops have significantly intensified combat operations in the area of the Serebrianskyi Forest in Luhansk region. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders are delivering precise strikes on the enemy’s logistics, destroying areas where equipment and manpower of the occupiers are being concentrated.
This was reported by the press service of the 81st Airmobile Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, Russian occupiers are trying to accumulate resources in the Serebrianskyi Forest. The situation remains tense near Dronivka, where the enemy plans to bypass the settlement with small assault groups and take it under control in order to advance further towards Platonivka and Zakitne.
“In the event of the occupation of these settlements, and given the difficult terrain, the enemy will be able to freely establish logistical support along the Siverskyi Donets River. This would threaten an advance towards Lyman and Sloviansk,” the statement said.
Ukrainian servicemen emphasise that they are doing everything possible to disrupt the enemy’s plans. In particular, drone operators of the Apache Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 81st Brigade are deliberately destroying Russian logistics, primarily sites where enemy transport and personnel are concentrated.
Over the past day, UAV operators eliminated two occupiers, destroyed two buggies, a quad bike, four motorcycles and five shelters of Russian troops.
On the night of 7 January, Russian forces carried out a massive aerial attack on Ukraine, using an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 95 attack drones from various directions. Air defence forces destroyed the vast majority of enemy targets.
