Following the Russian Federation's attack on September 30, dozens of trains have been delayed

Following Russia’s overnight attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, dozens of Ukrzaliznytsia trains are running with delays. Trains heading toward the western regions and toward the border are the farthest behind schedule, with delays reaching 10 hours.

 

Train No. 31/32 from Zaporizhzhia to Przemyśl is the most delayed: it is 9 hours and 22 minutes behind schedule. Train No. 3/4 from Dnipro to Uzhhorod, which departed from its starting station on September 29, is also running late.

Next is Train No. 9/10 from Kyiv to Budapest, which is 7 hours and 39 minutes behind schedule. Three other trains are more than six hours behind schedule: Chernihiv–Yasinya, Kharkiv–Uzhhorod, and Dnipro–Kovel.

Trains on the Kyiv–Mykolaiv, Kyiv–Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv–Rakhiv, and Kharkiv–Odesa routes are nearly six hours late. There are also delays on trains from Kyiv to Warsaw, Przemyśl, and Chop.

The service did not specify the cause of the delays. However, this is usually related to the security situation—an air raid alert was in effect across nearly all of Ukraine last night, and explosions were heard in some regions. In such cases, train service is suspended because the enemy is constantly targeting the railway infrastructure and the civilian population.

As a reminder, as a result of the enemy attack on Kyiv on September 23, a Ukrzaliznytsia employee who was returning home after his shift sustained shrapnel wounds.

On September 23, Russian terrorists attacked two gas stations in Kyiv; one person was injured.
