More than a thousand buildings in Kyiv left without heating due to strike on energy infrastructure

As a result of a massive Russian attack on the capital’s critical infrastructure on February 3, large parts of Kyiv’s Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts were left without heat supply.
This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko on his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, a total of 1,170 apartment buildings in the city remain without heating.

The mayor noted that municipal services and energy workers have already begun urgent restoration work at the damaged facilities.
Specialists are working around the clock to restore heat supply to residential buildings as quickly as possible. In addition, work is also underway in buildings where heating problems had existed even before yesterday’s attack.

The situation with heat supply remains difficult, especially given the winter season and low temperatures.

City authorities urge residents of the affected districts to remain calm and, if necessary, contact the hotlines of municipal services.

The city administration promises to promptly inform Kyiv residents about the progress of restoration work and the return of heating to homes.

As a reminder, in Kyiv and a number of regions, the air raid alert lasted more than seven hours.

One person was injured during the nighttime attack by Russian forces on Kyiv.
