Video: Border guards destroyed a Russian "Sfera" electronic warfare system and four communications antennas

Operators of the “Strix” RUBpak system destroyed the Russian “Sfera” electronic warfare system and four enemy communications antennas. The State Border Guard Service noted that this has weakened the occupiers’ ability to command their units.

During their operations, “Strix” operators detected and destroyed the “Sfera” electronic warfare system used by Russian troops.

Taking this equipment out of commission makes it harder for the enemy to counter Ukrainian drones and reduces its ability to employ electronic warfare systems.

At the same time, Ukrainian drone operators destroyed four Russian military communications antennas.

Damage to the communications infrastructure directly affects the ability of Russian units to coordinate combat operations.

The destruction of the antennas makes it more difficult for the occupying forces to:

  • transmitting commands between units;
  • coordinating assault operations;
  • operational command and control of troops;
  • adjusting fire.

Thus, the simultaneous destruction of electronic warfare systems and communications equipment weakens the Russian command-and-control system in the relevant sector of the front.

This is not the first operation by Ukrainian border guards against Russian military infrastructure.

It was previously reported that border guards conducted reconnaissance and a raid behind Russian lines on Russian territory, where they identified a major enemy logistics hub and struck its infrastructure.

Footage of the combat operation on September 3 was released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine

Operators from the 421st Separate “Sapsan” Unmanned Systems Battalion of the Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine discovered a cache of Russian military equipment. During the operation, Ukrainian troops destroyed six vehicles, and footage of the operation was posted online.

Over the past day, 215 combat clashes occurred on the front lines. In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks, continuing to hold back the offensive actions of Russian forces.

Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 135 of the 163 drones that Russian troops had used to attack the country’s territory since the evening of September 2.

On September 3, a man was injured in the Boryspil district of Kyiv Oblast as a result of a Russian attack. It is known that one person was wounded by the enemy strike.

In the Khmelnytskyi region, debris from a downed Russian strike drone caused a fire in the warehouse of one of the local enterprises. The fire covered an area of 200 square meters, according to Serhiy Tyurin, head of the Regional Military Administration.
