Putin says Russia will continue its “special military operation” in Ukraine
Russian leader Vladimir Putin stated after US–Ukraine talks that Russia will continue pursuing the goals of its full-scale war against Ukraine according to the plans of the Russian General Staff.
On December 29, he told Russian officials.
“I ask to continue carrying out the tasks of the ‘special military operation’ in line with the plans of the General Staff.”
Putin also claimed that Russian forces are advancing in Donbas, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, while the Ukrainian army is allegedly retreating:
“The liberation of Donbas, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson is being carried out step by step according to the special military operation plan. Our troops are confidently moving forward, breaking the enemy’s defenses.”
