Russia is attacking Kyiv with drones; warehouses and office buildings are on fire

Russian forces continue to attack Kyiv with strike drones. Hits and falling drone debris have been reported in the capital, resulting in fires and damage in several areas of the city.

As of 1:17 p.m., a strike on a warehouse building was reported in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district. A fire broke out on the roof of the building.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and began their response.

At the same time, medical personnel received calls to the Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi districts of the capital. Emergency response teams were dispatched to the specified addresses.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, an office building caught fire in the Solomyanskyi district as a result of the enemy attack.

Later, Vitali Klitschko reported that debris from a UAV had fallen onto a four-story office building, causing a fire and partial damage.

The evacuation of people from the upper floors of the building has begun.

According to preliminary reports, there are casualties. Information regarding their condition and number is being verified.

As of 12:14 p.m., a second strike on warehouse buildings was reported in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

A large-scale fire broke out at the scene, and emergency services were called in to deal with the aftermath.

Thus, the Russian drone attack caused damage in several districts of Kyiv at once. Rescue workers and other relevant services continue to work at the sites, and details about the casualties are being verified.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported on the consequences of the attack.

On September 8, during a Russian attack on Kyiv, a Russian drone struck the building of the “We Are Ukraine” television channel. The strike partially destroyed the building, and five employees of the television channel were injured.

On September 8, Russian forces launched a strike with two “Shahed” drones against the Kyiv–Sumy train. The train had been stopped in advance, and passengers and crew members were evacuated following a warning from the “Ukrzaliznytsia” monitoring team.

As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to an attack by the Russian Federation.

Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
