Russia attacked a passenger train's locomotive near the border with Poland
Russian forces struck a passenger train locomotive in Volyn, approximately two kilometers from Ukraine’s border with Poland. According to preliminary reports, no one was injured in the attack.
“For the second day in a row, the enemy has been attacking the railway. Today in Volyn, two kilometers from the border with Poland, the enemy struck the locomotive of a passenger train,” the company said in a statement.
Ukrzaliznytsia noted that the monitoring team warned the train crew of the air threat in time.
Thanks to this, none of the railway employees or passengers were injured.
“We continue to monitor aerial threats, ensure train operations, and take every possible measure to ensure the safety of passengers and railway workers,” Ukrzaliznytsia assured.
The Russian attack was yet another blow to Ukraine’s railway infrastructure, which the occupiers have been targeting for the second day in a row.

On the night of September 13, Russian troops attacked the area around the “Yagodyn–Dorohusk” international border crossing on the Ukrainian-Polish border. A gas station was damaged by falling debris near the border.
No hits were recorded at the “Yagodin” border crossing on the Ukrainian-Polish border during Russia’s nighttime airstrike.
The “Starokozache–Tudora” border crossing on the border with Moldova has resumed operations following a nighttime attack by Russian drones. Currently, vehicle processing is proceeding as usual in both directions.
All border crossing points along Ukraine’s state border are currently operating as usual, including those that had previously been targeted by Russian attacks.
