Russia attacked Merefa in the Kharkiv region
On the morning of April 16, Russian occupiers launched an attack on the town of Merefa in the Kharkiv region, resulting in the death of a civilian woman.
According to official information from Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, six other people were injured to varying degrees.
The enemy shelling caused significant damage to the premises of a local civilian enterprise.
Law enforcement officers are currently determining the age of the deceased woman while working at the scene of the tragedy to document yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation.
Medical assistance was required for several injured community members who sustained physical injuries during the attack.
“Preliminary reports indicate that a 40-year-old woman sustained serious injuries, while a 30-year-old, a 42-year-old, and a 24-year-old woman are in moderate condition,” the regional governor reported regarding the hospitalizations.
In addition to physical injuries, the shelling caused serious psychological trauma for witnesses to the incident.
Two young men, aged 26 and 29, experienced acute stress reactions. Medical personnel provided them with the necessary assistance directly at the site of the strike.
All hospitalized women are currently under the care of doctors who are working to restore their health and stabilize their condition.
Rescue services continue to search the factory grounds to rule out the presence of other victims trapped under the rubble of damaged structures.

In Dnipro, the death toll from the Russian military’s nighttime attack has risen. As of now, two people are known to have died and 27 were wounded.
At least four people were killed. Another 21 people were injured.
Earlier, Russian troops attacked the Bila Tserkva district in the Kyiv region, resulting in a fire at one of the enterprises.
