Russia may launch up to four "Bandero" missiles per day

Russia plans to produce up to 120 “Banderole” missiles per month, which would potentially allow it to launch up to four such missiles per day. This was reported by Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov, an adviser to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense.

According to him, the missile has a warhead containing 50 kg of explosives, and its range can reach up to 500 km, although confirmed strikes have so far been recorded at distances of up to 300 km.

The “Banderole” is launched from an “Orion” drone, and test launches from a Mi-8 helicopter have also been conducted. In addition, Flash suggested that the missile could be adapted for launch from a “Tornado” multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).

According to Beskrestnov, the missile flies at an altitude of 400 to 2,000 meters, and before striking the target, it descends to approximately 200 meters and actively maneuvers. Guidance is provided via satellite navigation, though it remains vulnerable to electronic warfare measures.

Flash described the “Banderole” as a low-cost cruise missile with a relatively small warhead.

As a reminder, on the night of July 8, strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a military airfield in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast, Russia. This airbase is home to aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which are used for both combat and training missions.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have reduced the strength of the Russian army by another 1,260 troops. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released updated data on enemy losses as of July 8, also reporting the destruction of a significant amount of enemy equipment.
