Russia shelled Lviv region, fire breaks out at infrastructure facility

In Lviv region, rescuers are responding to the aftermath of a Russian strike on an infrastructure facility.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).

“In the morning, Russians struck an infrastructure facility in Lviv region. Rescuers are currently dealing with the consequences of the attack. More than 130 emergency personnel and 36 specialised vehicles are working on site,” the DSNS statement reads.

It is noted that operations are continuing in an intensified mode to fully eliminate the consequences of the enemy’s actions and ensure the safety of the population.

Earlier, during the night of 27 January, Russian forces carried out another massive attack on Odesa using Shahed strike drones.

On the evening of 26 January 2026, the Russian army struck Kharkiv and surrounding settlements with ballistic missiles, causing widespread power outages and damage to civilian infrastructure. In Kharkiv, the number of people injured in the massive night drone attack on 24 January rose to 27. On 19 January, Russian forces hit Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs.
