Russia shells residential area in Zolochiv, children injured
Russian forces struck the residential sector of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district of Kharkiv region. The attack damaged eight private homes and caused a garage fire. Children were among the casualties.
Emergency services reported that several people were injured as a result.
Two elderly women and three children—a 13-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl—were wounded. The injured received necessary medical care.
In addition to the human casualties, eight private properties were damaged, and a garage caught fire. Rescue teams promptly extinguished the blaze.
Meanwhile, Russian forces lost another 1,040 personnel and 64 artillery systems on the front.
Ukrainian forces destroyed an additional 980 Russian troops and two air defense systems within 24 hours.
Ukrainian troops are expanding a logistics corridor to Myrnohrad, according to the Air Assault Forces. Defense units continue to successfully repel Russian attempts to advance near Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.
Pokrovsk has become a critically important defensive sector for Ukraine. Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the area under the Joint Forces “East” command repelled 106 enemy attacks over the past day.
