On the night of September 30, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using ballistic and anti-ship missiles, as well as 188 attack drones. Ukrainian air defenses shot down 160 aerial targets.

The Kyiv region was the main target of the attack.

The enemy attack began as early as 6:00 p.m. on September 29. Russian forces used “Zircon” and “Onyx” anti-ship missiles, “Iskander-M”/S-400 ballistic missiles, as well as 188 attack UAVs of the “Shahed,” “Gerbera,” and “Parody” decoy drones.

According to the Ukrainian military, 86 of the launched drones were jet-powered.

Russian forces carried out the launches from the territory of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Among the specified launch sites were:

  • Orel;
  • Millerovo;
  • Kursk;
  • Primorsko-Akhtarsk;
  • temporarily occupied Donetsk;
  • Gvardeyskoye in occupied Crimea;
  • Chauda in occupied Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, the Unmanned Systems Forces, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 8:00 a.m. on September 30, Ukrainian air defense forces had destroyed or neutralized 160 enemy aerial targets.

Among them:

  • 5 missiles;
  • 155 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.

At the same time, despite neutralizing most of the aerial targets, Russian strikes were recorded at 18 locations.

As of this morning, combat operations were still ongoing, as several enemy drones remained in Ukrainian airspace.

Russian forces continue to exert daily air pressure on Ukraine and its infrastructure.

During the previous attack on the evening of September 28, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 86 enemy UAVs, 49 of which were jet-powered.

The new attack on September 29–30 was yet another massive airstrike by Russia against Ukraine, involving a large number of drones and missiles.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Starting in the evening of September 29, Russian forces attacked three districts in the Dnipropetrovsk region with drones. The strikes damaged infrastructure and caused fires.

On the morning of September 30, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with drones. During the air raid alert, explosions were heard in Rivne and later in Lutsk.

A drone strike in the Kyiv region caused a fire in residential buildings; two people were rescued.

As a reminder, debris from a Russian drone caused a fire in a five-story building in Kyiv.
