Rescue workers came under fire again in the Zaporizhzhia region
On August 9, while responding to the aftermath of a Russian strike on the Zaporizhzhia region, rescue workers came under fire again. As a result of the attack, one rescue worker was killed and several others were injured.
As a result of the attack, one emergency responder was killed, and three other rescuers were wounded. The injured were hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care.
“The other rescue workers were unharmed. We express our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the fallen rescue worker. May he rest in peace…,” the State Emergency Service added.
It is worth noting that Russian troops regularly employ the tactic of follow-up strikes on areas that have already been shelled, targeting rescue workers, medical personnel, and other emergency services who arrive to address the aftermath of the strikes and assist the victims.

As a reminder, on Friday, August 7, in Dnipro, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. At the time of the strike, there were no people on the premises, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
