Russia attacked an electric locomotive in the Dnipropetrovsk region

On the evening of June 30, Russian troops attacked an electric locomotive in the Dnipropetrovsk region with a drone. There were no casualties, as the locomotive crew was warned of the danger in time and the workers managed to take cover.

On the evening of June 30, Russian troops launched a drone strike against an electric locomotive in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Ukrzaliznytsia reported the attack. According to preliminary information, no one was injured as a result of the strike.

The company explained that casualties were avoided thanks to a timely warning of the threat. “The monitoring team detected the danger in time and warned the locomotive crew. The train was quickly stopped, and the railroad workers immediately took cover,” Ukrzaliznytsia reported.

Experts are currently assessing the extent of damage sustained by the electric locomotive following the attack by a Russian drone. Information on the scale of the damage will be provided once the inspection is complete. Ukrzaliznytsia also warned passengers about possible changes to train schedules. “Due to this incident, there may be delays and changes to the schedules of some commuter trains,” the company noted.

Passengers are advised to check for updates on Ukrzaliznytsia’s official channels before traveling to stay informed about potential schedule changes in advance. Russian troops regularly attack Ukraine’s railway infrastructure. Despite this, Ukrzaliznytsia continues to transport passengers and cargo, and after each strike, repair crews promptly restore damaged facilities to minimize the impact of the attacks on train service. This was reported by “Ukrzaliznytsia.”

Ukrainian drones struck eight of the ten largest Russian oil refineries by processing volume, with some facilities being hit multiple times.

Following inspections in May, the two largest payment terminal networks—EasyPay (LLC “FC ‘Kontraktovy Dom’”) and City24 (LLC “Swift Garant”)—were hit with massive fines: 135 million hryvnias each.
