Russia attacked the Starokozache checkpoint on the border with Moldova
On the night of September 9, Russian troops attacked the “Starokozache” border crossing with strike drones. Following the attack, operations at the international road border crossing were temporarily suspended.
As a result of the Russian attack, the drones struck the checkpoint’s infrastructure and the surrounding area. Fires broke out at the sites of the strikes.
According to border guards, there are fatalities and injuries among the civilians who were near the border crossing at the time of the attack. The exact number of casualties and injured has not yet been reported.
Due to the consequences of the Russian strike, the processing of citizens and vehicles at this section of the border has been temporarily suspended. The Ukrainian side has also informed representatives of the neighboring country about the situation.
The “Starokozache” border crossing is located on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border and is designated for international road traffic, according to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region as a result of the Russian attack.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
