Russia launched an attack on Ukraine using 164 drones; air defense forces shot down 150 UAVs
Ukraine's air defense forces have shot down 150 of the 164 drones used by the Russian military to attack the country since the evening of March 29.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
It is noted that starting at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 29, Russian troops carried out a combined air strike. Specifically, an Iskander-M ballistic missile was launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as 164 Shahed, Gerbera, “Italmas,” and other drones from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russian Federation), as well as Chauda and Gvardeyskoye in Crimea. About 90 of them were Shahed-type drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30, air defense forces shot down or neutralized 150 enemy UAVs,” the Air Force reported.
At the same time, a ballistic missile and 12 strike drones were recorded hitting seven locations. Additionally, debris from the downed targets fell in two other locations.
The Air Force also warned that the attack is ongoing: several enemy drones remain in Ukrainian airspace.
Russian forces launched a drone strike on one of Kharkiv’s districts. The strike was recorded in the Slobidska district of the city.
In Kramatorsk, Russian forces dropped an aerial bomb, killing at least three people, including a 13-year-old teenager, and injuring seven others.
A 13-year-old girl who was wounded during the Russian shelling of the Voskresenska community in the Mykolaiv region died in the hospital.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked settlements in the Kherson region.
The Russians also shelled eight settlements in the Donetsk region.
Russians attacked Odesa overnight with more than 60 strike drones — Zelenskyy.
Russian drones attacked Poltava region—one person was killed.
A Russian nighttime attack damaged port infrastructure in the Odesa region.
34 strikes on the Chernihiv region in the past 24 hours; energy facilities damaged.
The enemy struck Odesa: two dead and 11 wounded.
