Russia is spreading false claims about "drugs" in the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Russian propaganda has stepped up its campaign to spread false claims about alleged drug use by Ukrainian military personnel.

This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

In particular, hostile sources claim that “more than 30 Ukrainian saboteurs” near Kupiansk were allegedly operating “under the influence of drugs” and that psychotropic substances were supposedly found on the bodies of those killed.

The Center emphasizes that such claims have no basis in fact. The published photos and videos contain no evidence and do not allow for the circumstances of the events to be established.

They emphasize that this is a typical method of Russian propaganda—using unverified visual materials to support fabricated accusations.

The Center added that such disinformation is aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian military and creating a negative image of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the international stage.

A large-scale disinformation campaign has begun in Europe, aimed at discrediting Ukraine through fake accusations of “energy terrorism.”

In addition, the Russian authorities are once again attempting to distort the meaning of the 1994 Budapest Memorandum to justify armed aggression against Ukraine and violations of its territorial integrity.
