Russia struck southern parts of the Odesa region, damaging infrastructure

On the night of 17 March, Russian forces attacked southern areas of the Odesa region. Energy, industrial and port infrastructure facilities were damaged.

This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.

“Company premises and some equipment were damaged. Fires broke out at the sites but were promptly extinguished by emergency services. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries,” he said.

The attack caused power outages in several settlements. Critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power to ensure the continued operation of essential services.

In addition, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out a series of drone attacks on border areas of the Sumy region, killing two civilian men.

Earlier, Russian forces struck residential areas of Zaporizhzhia, causing damage and injuries.

Russian forces also attacked four Ukrposhta branches, injuring employees.
