Russia has lost nearly 1,500 more troops in the war against Ukraine
Over the past day, the Russian army lost another 1,330 troops in the war against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed dozens of pieces of enemy equipment, including artillery systems, air defense systems, and drones.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, total losses among Russian troops have exceeded 1.4 million, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of July 25, 2026, the Russian army’s total combat losses amount to approximately 1,437,550 soldiers. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces eliminated another 1,330 invaders. In addition to personnel, Russian troops continue to lose military equipment. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed or damaged seven tanks, one armored combat vehicle, and 78 artillery systems.
Russia also lost two air defense systems, 17 ground-based robotic systems, over 1,500 operational-tactical-level drones, and other equipment. According to the General Staff, the Russian army’s total losses since the start of the invasion are as follows:
- tanks – 12,208 units;
- armored combat vehicles – 25,011;
- artillery systems – 46,724;
- multiple launch rocket systems – 1,968;
- air defense systems – 1,518;
- aircraft – 439;
- helicopters – 354;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 426,836;
- cruise missiles – 4,943;
- ships and boats – 34;
- submarines – 2;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 125,358;
- special equipment – 4,462 units.
The General Staff noted that data on Russian troop losses is being refined. This is due to active combat operations across various sectors of the front and the need to verify information.
On the night of July 25, Russian forces launched more than 150 air targets at Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed and intercepted one X-59/69 guided air-to-ground missile and 127 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
