Russia lost another 1,560 soldiers on the front lines over the past day
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated the figures on Russian military casualties in the war against Ukraine as of Saturday morning, October 3, 2026.
According to the General Staff, total personnel losses among Russian occupation forces since the start of the full-scale war amount to approximately 1,538,950 people. In the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1,560 Russian soldiers.
The Russian army has also lost a significant amount of military equipment during the war.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian troop losses are as follows:
- personnel – approximately 1,538,950 (+1,560) personnel;
- tanks – 12,391 (+3) units;
- armored combat vehicles – 25,477 (+6);
- artillery systems – 50,637 (+45) units;
- multiple launch rocket systems – 2,178 (+3) units;
- air defense systems – 1,683 (+0) units;
- aircraft – 443 (+0) units;
- helicopters – 356 (+0) units;
- ground-based robotic systems – 2,824 (+14) units;
- operational-tactical UAVs – 544,498 (+1,645) units;
- cruise missiles – 5,126 (+0) units;
- ships and boats – 35 (+0) units;
- submarines – 2 (+0) units;
- Vehicles and tanker trucks – 156,731 (+422) units;
- special equipment – 4,783 (+3) units.
Thus, over the past 24 hours, Russia’s losses have increased the most among operational-tactical-level drones—by 1,645 units—vehicles and tanker trucks—by 422 units—and artillery systems—by 45 units.
The Russian army’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have approached 1.54 million servicemen.
