Russia lost 1,370 troops and three air defense systems in the past 24 hours
Over the past day, the Russian army has lost another 1,370 troops in Ukraine. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia’s total personnel losses have already reached approximately 1,465,810. Ukrainian forces also destroyed dozens of pieces of Russian military equipment, including three air defense systems.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to August 15, 2026, amount to approximately 1,465,810 soldiers. In the past 24 hours alone, the Russian army lost another 1,370 soldiers.
In addition to personnel, Russia continues to lose military equipment and weapons. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed or disabled:
- 5 tanks;
- 3 armored combat vehicles;
- 62 artillery systems;
- 2 multiple-launch rocket systems;
- 3 air defense systems;
- 12 ground-based robotic systems;
- 1,835 operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles;
- 522 vehicles and tanker trucks;
- 4 units of specialized equipment.
Total Russian Equipment Losses
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have lost, according to General Staff estimates:
- 12,269 tanks;
- 25,144 armored combat vehicles;
- 47,932 artillery systems;
- 2,026 multiple-launch rocket systems;
- 1,568 air defense systems;
- 439 aircraft;
- 354 helicopters;
- 461,484 operational-tactical-level UAVs;
- 5,007 cruise missiles;
- 35 ships and boats;
- 2 submarines;
- 134,375 vehicles and tankers;
- 4,528 units of specialized equipment;
- 2,241 ground-based robotic systems.
Separately, the General Staff reports 62 new losses of artillery systems and over 1,800 drones over the past 24 hours. At the same time, data on Russian military losses are constantly being updated. The figures may change as additional information is received from the front lines. Thus, as of August 15, 2026, the Ukrainian General Staff estimates the total losses of Russian military personnel at nearly 1.47 million soldiers.
On the front lines over the past day, August 14, there were 233 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian occupiers. The Russians actively used aircraft and drones: they carried out 71 airstrikes, dropped 241 guided bombs, and launched 10,626 kamikaze drones.
In Samara, Russia, a fire broke out at the “CSKB-Progress” facility following an attack. According to Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, the plant manufactures medium-class launch vehicles and unmanned space vehicles.
