Russians are attacking Kyiv: warehouse buildings are on fire in the capital
Throughout the day on September 9, Russian forces attacked Kyiv with rocket-powered drones. Several strikes and fires were reported in the capital, and an air raid alert due to the drone threat lasted several hours.
According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, a fire broke out in a warehouse in the Dnipro district as a result of a UAV crash.
The mayor also said that in the Darnytskyi district, a grassy area caught fire after a drone crashed.
In addition, debris fell in an open area—also in the Darnytskyi district. Smoke is rising from that location.
As of 1:17 p.m., there were nine casualties in the capital as a result of the morning attacks, the mayor noted.
On the evening of September 8, Russian forces struck Mykolaiv. The attack damaged the “Metro” hypermarket—windows were shattered and the roof was damaged.
In Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district, a Russian attack drone struck a 16-story residential building. Information regarding possible casualties is currently being verified.
Since the evening of September 8, Russian troops have shelled four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region more than 20 times. The occupiers used drones in the attacks, which left three people injured.
As a reminder, fires broke out at industrial facilities in the Kyiv region due to an attack by Russia.
Russia also launched a massive attack on Kyiv, killing and wounding civilians.
Later, rescue workers showed the aftermath of the strikes on Kyiv.
