Russians attacked bridges in Zaporizhzhia; traffic has resumed
Over the past two days, Russian troops have launched combined strikes on bridges in Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, the roadway of one of the bridges was damaged; however, all bridge crossings are currently operating normally.
“Over the past two days, we’ve seen combined strikes on bridges in the city of Zaporizhzhia. Yesterday, all emergency services responded very quickly, and we restored traffic in just under two hours. Today at 5 a.m., the enemy carried out a combined strike, and while the roadway has been damaged, traffic has been restored,” Semikin said.
Mykhailo Semikin clarified that one of the three bridges in Zaporizhzhia—the cable-stayed bridge—was damaged as a result of the Russian strike.
According to him, traffic was restored very quickly after the morning attack. Currently, all transportation services in the city are operating as usual.
Thus, despite two combined strikes on Zaporizhzhia’s bridge infrastructure over the course of two days, transportation services in the city have not been disrupted.
This was reported on television by Mykhailo Semikin, acting head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
Over the course of 24 hours—from the morning of October 6 to the morning of October 7—Russian troops carried out nearly 50 strikes on 24 settlements in 12 territorial communities of the Sumy region. The highest number of attacks was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.
Over the past day, Russian troops launched strikes on the Mykolaiv region using attack UAVs and FPV drones. As a result of the attacks, two people were injured, and a recreational complex, a house, and a car were damaged.
As a reminder, at least two people were killed in Kyiv as a result of a nighttime attack.
