Russians are reinforcing forces for an assault on Dronivka — military
On the Sloviansk direction, the Russian army is increasing pressure near the village of Dronivka. Ukrainian defenders are conducting positional combat, inflicting losses on the enemy in personnel and equipment.
This was reported on Facebook by the Separate Slobozhanska Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.
According to the brigade, the situation around Dronivka is becoming more difficult. To storm and gain control over this settlement, as well as Platonivka and Zakitne, Russian troops are daily accumulating resources in the Serebriansky Forest and Sieversk.
Units of the Slobozhanska Brigade continuously detect enemy forces and their equipment, striking them. In particular, anti-aircraft crews are destroying Russian reconnaissance and attack drones, which constantly target Ukrainian positions. This week, with the help of drones, defenders located and destroyed a 2S3 “Akatsiya” self-propelled artillery unit that Russian troops had tried to camouflage in the Serebriansky forestry.
The enemy’s main objective in this sector of the front remains to gain control over the riverside areas of the Siverskyi Donets River and secure the dominant heights. If successful, the invaders would be able to use their strike capabilities to hit the Ukrainian rear.
Russian tactics remain unchanged: small groups of two soldiers attempt to infiltrate the space between Slobozhanska Brigade positions. To remain undetected, invaders use anti-thermal cloaks at night and camouflage robes plus weather conditions during the day.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have forced Russian occupiers to retreat from Oleksiivskyi Island in Kherson region.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine expelled Russian operational reserves in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad.
