Russian Army Carried Out 56 Attacks, Focusing on Three Key Directions
Since the beginning of the day, Russian occupation forces have attacked Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions 56 times, attempting to break through the front in multiple sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
The highest enemy activity is observed on the Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole directions, where fierce clashes continue.
Kostiantynivka Direction. The enemy is acting most aggressively here, carrying out 14 offensive actions in the areas of Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Berestka, and other settlements. Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions firmly, though one engagement was still ongoing by evening.
Pokrovsk Direction. The situation remains tense, with 13 attempts by the occupiers to push back Ukrainian units. Fighting has occurred in the areas of Rodynske, Udachne, and Muravka, where the enemy is trying to advance toward Bilytske.
Huliaipole Direction. On the southern sector of the front, the occupiers carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Myrne and Olenokostiantynivka. Ukrainian forces are successfully repelling the offensive: nine enemy attempts have already been stopped despite active use of aviation by the invaders.
In addition to direct clashes, Russia continues to terrorize border regions, shelling Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts. Over ten settlements have come under fire, including Volfyne and Pavlivka, where numerous hits from various types of weapons were recorded.
Lyman and Kupiansk Directions:
Ukrainian defenders repelled a total of eight attacks, preventing the enemy from advancing toward strategically important settlements, including attempts in the areas of Pishchane and Drobysheve.
Prydniprovskiy Direction. The enemy tried to attack toward the Antonivskyi Bridge but failed and retreated.
The General Staff emphasizes that Ukrainian forces continue to effectively exhaust the resources of the Russian army both at the frontline and deep in the rear.
During the night, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a Russian ammunition depot and a drone command post.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Ukrainian forces destroyed four Russian self-propelled air defense systems.
