Russian shelling has halted operations at a large tobacco factory in Kyiv
This week, a tobacco factory owned by the British company Imperial Brands—one of the largest cigarette manufacturers in Ukraine—was damaged in Kyiv as a result of Russian shelling.
The company has currently halted production entirely.
“The most important thing is that all our employees are safe,” the company said.
Production has been completely halted. Imperial Brands emphasizes that it is not yet possible to accurately assess the extent of the damage, so the timeline for resuming operations remains unknown.

At the same time, the company’s total net profit for the same period decreased by 37.4% to 411.2 million UAH.
