Russian troops attacked a train in the Odesa region for the second time today

On August 13, the Russian army launched its second strike in 24 hours against railway infrastructure in the Odesa region. The strike hit a diesel locomotive that was performing shunting operations to facilitate the passing of trains.

Thanks to an early warning, the railroad crew had time to take cover, so no one was injured as a result of the attack.

This was reported on the “Suspilne Studio” broadcast by Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia.

As a reminder, the Russians deliberately struck a passenger train in the Odesa region with a Shahed drone, resulting in fatalities.

The State Emergency Service and the Odesa Regional Military Administration released photographs of the locomotive damaged by the Russian attack. The images show the condition of the train following the strike.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russian forces struck a passenger train in the Odesa region. According to him, there were 340 passengers on board at the time of the attack, and the train engineer and his assistant were killed.
