Russian soldiers hospitalized en masse to avoid fighting near Pokrovsk
Russian soldiers have begun actively seeking hospitalization to avoid participating in combat operations on the Pokrovsk front.
According to the partisan movement Atesh, the number of cases of soldiers feigning illness in the 205th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade has increased, as they attempt to obtain medical leave and avoid deployment.
These actions come amid rumors about possible redeployments of units to other sections of the front, which has caused fear of being sent to the front line.
Soldiers admit they do not want to take part in the fighting, especially after suffering heavy losses among their comrades. The unlawful practice of recording the dead as “missing” to conceal real casualties has also become common.
The situation on the Pokrovsk axis remains tense, as Russian forces attempt to encircle the city from several directions. However, despite claims of encirclement, the Ukrainian Armed Forces state that Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad have not been captured. The development of combat in this region is expected to continue affecting troop morale and their readiness to fight.
