Russian strike on energy facility in Chernihiv region causes changes to train services

In the Chernihiv district, a nighttime Russian attack damaged another critical energy infrastructure facility, leading to power outages and adjustments to train schedules.

This was reported by Chernihivoblenergo and Ukrzaliznytsia.

According to energy workers, emergency repair and restoration work will begin as soon as the security situation allows.

Due to the lack of electricity in the power grid caused by enemy strikes, Ukrzaliznytsia has temporarily restricted the operation of certain suburban trains towards the Nepliuievo station.

In particular, the following trains will operate on altered routes today:

  • No. 6542 Konotop – Tereshchenska (instead of the Konotop – Nepliuievo route);
  • No. 6543 Tereshchenska – Konotop (instead of the Nepliuievo – Konotop route).

Passengers are urged to take these changes into account when planning their journeys.

It is worth recalling that the day before, parts of Chernihiv were left without electricity following a drone strike.

In addition, Russian forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with FPV drones and artillery.
